The Most Urgent Hour: We do THIS TODAY for the Saving of America

(Trying to write this article, politics aside, going to do my best)

Have you ever read the Original Hippocratic Oath? It’s very important to this conversation. Please review:

“I swear by Apollo Healer, by Asclepius, by Hygieia, by Panacea, and by all the gods and goddesses, making them my witness, that I will carry out, according to my ability and judgment, this oath and this indenture.

To hold my teacher in this art equal to my own parents; to make him partner in my livelihood; when he is in need of money to share mine with him; to consider his family as my own brothers, and to teach then this art, if they want to learn it, without fee or indenture; to impart precept, oral instruction, and all other instruction to my own sons, the sons of my teacher, and to indentured pupils who have taken the Healer’s oath, but to nobody else.

I will use those dietary regimens which will benefit my patients according to my greatest ability and judgment, and I will do no harm of injustice to them. Neither will I administer a poison to anybody when asked to do so, nor will I suggest such a course. Similarly I will not give a woman a pessary to cause abortion. But I will keep pure and holy both my life and my art. I will not use the knife, not even, verily, on sufferers from stone, but I will give place to such as are craftsmen therein.

Into whatsoever houses I enter, I will enter to help the sick, and I will abstain from all intentional wrong-doing and harm, especially from abusing the bodies of man or woman, bond or free. And whatsoever I shall see or hear in the course of my profession, as well as outside of my profession in my intercourse with men, if it be what should not be published abroad, I will never divulge, holding such things to be holy secrets.

Now if I carry out this oath, and break it not, may I gain for ever reputation among all men for my life and for my art; but if I break it and forswear myself, may the opposite befall me.“

After reading this, How many conversations can we have now!? The irony of the hypocrisy found in the original Hippocratic oath!! Of course they had to completely rewrite a “modern day” version – but why would they ever refer to what they have now as “The Hippocratic Oath”?

Here is your modern day Oath the Doctors are taking:

“I swear to fulfill, to the best of my ability and judgment, this covenant:

I will respect the hard-won scientific gains of those physicians in whose steps I walk, and gladly share such knowledge as is mine with those who are to follow.

I will apply, for the benefit of the sick, all measures [that] are required, avoiding those twin traps of overtreatment and therapeutic nihilism.

I will remember that there is art to medicine as well as science, and that warmth, sympathy, and understanding may outweigh the surgeon’s knife or the chemist’s drug.

I will not be ashamed to say “I know not”, nor will I fail to call in my colleagues when the skills of another are needed for a patient’s recovery.

I will respect the privacy of my patients, for their problems are not disclosed to me that the world may know. Most especially must I tread with care in matters of life and death. If it is given me to save a life, all thanks. But it may also be within my power to take a life; this awesome responsibility must be faced with great humbleness and awareness of my own frailty. Above all, I must not play at God.

I will remember that I do not treat a fever chart, a cancerous growth, but a sick human being, whose illness may affect the person’s family and economic stability. My responsibility includes these related problems, if I am to care adequately for the sick.

I will prevent disease whenever I can, for prevention is preferable to cure.

I will remember that I remain a member of society, with special obligations to all my fellow human beings, those sound of mind and body as well as the infirm.

If I do not violate this oath, may I enjoy life and art, respected while I live and remembered with affection thereafter. May I always act so as to preserve the finest traditions of my calling and may I long experience the joy of healing those who seek my help.”

Again, the hypocrisy even in this oath, considering the modern day medical establishment will not receive anything of natural medicine as a whole, is just about sickening. But this article is not about the brokenness of our medical industry, its adamant refusal to get away from drugs and Big Pharma, neither is this article about how money has totally and completely corrupted an industry that should be much more like a spiritual practice and artful-lifelong study rather than engineering and re-engineering the human body. But we have to say these things to shine a light on just how wicked and corrupt this industry has become upon the face of the whole earth, as we learned during COVID.

I want to write about God and ask a profound question of us and our American Society – considering the heart and soul of our nation. Why should God save America? I have been a minister much of my life but have recently been full-time immersed in politics and looking at our nation with very sober and honest eyes, I have to ask the question. What is so wonderful about our nation that it should be saved!? I realize it’s a hard question but bear with me. I end this article with hope.

We are the number one net exporter of porn to the world. Under Obama we exported the LGBTQ agenda to the NATIONS of the earth and declared war against the family unit, America did that, trying to redefine the word Marriage. Our version of capitalism teaches the nations to love money and earthly success above all things. Our children shoot their schools and we have the highest child suicide rates in the world. Few nations can compete with the shear number of homeless children that live in hiding throughout our cities. No nation of earth jails more children than we do. And perhaps worst of all, we taught the world the most sophisticated and efficient system of abortion arguably ever in the history of man.

What about America is so great and worth saving!? I can think of a few things. But mostly I find us to be hypocrites as a society. We place our hand on a Bible and swear people in at court, upon taking office, especially the Presidential Office and yet we, as a society, break nearly ever instruction and wisdom taught therein. Our politicians all agree to the same general premise: say whatever needs to be said to get elected and once you are elected you can do whatever you please (and our lobbyists have all the money you need to defend yourself in court). Breaks my heart having witnessed these things so intimately.

But the war on our children grieves me more than anything. And if it grieves me, a mere broken man, how much does it grieve the Lord!? I have heard the abortion industry has killed 70 Million babies since the 70’s when abortion was made legal!? The heart and soul of America is under attack like never before. You can have all the money in the world and what are you going to spend it on!? Every (rich) man on his deathbed suddenly comes to some sort of spirituality wherein they realize, they did it all wrong. They all emote the same exact way, they wish they had spent more time with their families, especially with their children when they were little. The precious things of our nation have long been under assault.

What is sacred anymore for us? What is special? What do we hold up as unique, full of life and set apart?

We murder life. We do. We war against life. How a society treats their young tells you what the future of that society will be like. We drug them. We lock them up. And we kill babies in the womb. More hypocrisy. Did you see what Hippocrates wrote, “I will not give a woman a pessary to cause an abortion.” Refusing abortion was even in the ancient world! And even the pagan Greeks knew not to kill babies.

I say to the earth now, be careful if you admire our America. Be careful if you admire or follow Europe or any of the western nations for that matter. We, in the west, are in desperate need of a spiritual awakening. The heart and soul of our society needs saving. To the believers of the world I say, “Pray for us.” I fear what should become of the world if America is led to ruin.

I see one hope to keep the world from some of the hardest years ever recorded in history, America and the nations of the west must have a real “Come to Jesus” moment, wherein the Spirit of Life is restored to us. We must immediately show God how serious we are about saving our nations by refusing to kill life, ever again. End Abortion as a very vital first step in restoring a heart and soul to America. End Abortion to show God that we want to change and make LIFE the foundation upon which our nation is built – Living and not dying.

Perhaps if The God of All Life sees our commitment to change, even in this late hour, He will push off certain judgment and remove the curse from our land that has been ravaging our families some 40+ years. I believe God is good – but we have to be good with Him if we are to receive of His Goodness. I pray for our America. I pray that we all want to become good again.
